GF Electrical

The brief

GF Electrical are leading electrical contractors based in Dorset who take pride in providing an excellent service to their customers that connects with their project and needs. GF Electrical commissioned Digital Storm to update their website as the existing site didn’t reflect their brand and the company’s ambitions.

The primary goal of the website design was to generate leads and attract more customers within both the commercial and residential sectors. Prospective clients and customers for GF Electrical services can be looking for electrical and safety services at any time and it was essential that ‘call to actions’ and ways to communicate, whether a quick message or a detailed project tender, were clearly addressed to ensure leads and enquiries were captured at any time.

The site also needed to be designed to showcase the high quality work that is completed by GF Electrical as well as help to build trust between the company and the customer.

Our response

This GF Electrical website (http://gfelectrical.co.uk) was rebuilt using WordPress and designed with a bespoke theme to make it future proof and easily editable post launch. The brand’s colour palette was used for visual stand out to grab the users attention but also to help differentiate the services for residential and commercial/industrial.

The individual service sections are both unique in design and content by providing photos of specific job and project examples.

The content was reviewed and sharpened to address specific needs and requirements and was clearly divided into readable sections that help prospective and existing customers to understand and make informed decisions.

Clear calls to actions were positioned after important content to direct the user to the contact page. Testimonials, Google reviews and associated accreditations are displayed throughout the website in order to boost users’ trust and their confidence in GF Electrical.

An important part of the brief was that the website used professional and high quality photography that clearly showcased the services as well as the brand. The personality of the company needed to shine through. Therefore photography of real projects, both large and small, were shown which focused on the exact detail of the project. Employee photos and specific office and company focused imagery was also used to showcase the company’s brand values of being approachable and friendly.

Results

The website was launched in quarter 3 of 2020 and has given the company a new, fresh look for its online presence. GF Electrical is already planning to drive the website forward further with continued news posts, online application forms and more project case studies. A marketing strategy is also being considered.
