As we kick off 2019, we thought we would take a look back over 2018 and what it has meant for us.

Digital Storm started the year in high spirits having just moved into our new office in Bournemouth town centre; a move which allowed for additional office space for meetings and a social lounge for staff to enjoy. We were also proud to recruit one of our recent apprentices. We are dedicated to offering apprenticeship opportunities for young people and look forward to offering more in 2019.

Fast forward to the Spring and we won several new clients and interesting projects including Parkstone Bay Marina, Dudsbury Golf Club Hotel & Spa and Safewise.

With his commitment to the local business community, Paul Andrews, our Director, also began working with the Bournemouth Town Centre BID and attended various round table meetings with other business leaders and Levy payers discussing the issues and progress about the town centre. Again, something that we are committed to!

Then the summer came around marking our 15th year anniversary. We celebrated this momentous achievement in various ways including sponsoring one of the DCCI breakfast events where we were proud to partner up with one of our longstanding clients, Forum Jewellers and provide a prize raffle for an exquisite Bering watch.

Our birthday month saw our biggest achievement of the year by winning the ‘Not For Profit Website of the year 2018’ at the Wirehive 100 Award. The Wirehive Awards consider top agencies across the South and celebrates the outstanding creative and technical talent.

“Winning an award was an overwhelming testament to the great work that we produce at Digital Storm” says Lesley Simmons, Director.

In September, we were pleased to welcome Blanca, a graphic designer from Spain, who came to England as an intern to improve her English language skills and gain agency experience.

We were also proud to renew our Business Partner membership with the DCCI for a 4th year in a row and being entrusted as their design, web and marketing agency.

November was momentous, thanks to Lesley and Curtis (Marketing Manager) who both danced live at the Bournemouth Business Come Dancing event raising money for the

Bournemouth Hospital Charity and Pavilion Dance South West. Neither had danced before and were suddenly doing contemporary and Capoeira type dances in front of an audience of 200 people. We were proud to raise £735.00. If that wasn’t enough, Lesley was awarded Runner Up against all the other local businesses taking part.

We approached the end the year by winning several fantastic new clients including Dorset EMC, Kingston Maurwood College and The Colour Works; so 2019 is already going to start fantastically for us.

“2018 has been exciting and we have seen a significant growth. I am proud of our achievements and would like to say thanks to our fantastic team and our clients. I am also very proud of our continued commitment to the wider business community in Dorset and we will strive to continue this involvement for the future. We are now looking forward to seeing what 2019 brings”. Says Paul Andrews, Director.
