Carving a new digital presence for True Brands

True Brands, better known as True Utility, design and manufacture original and extremely useful multi-tools targeted towards the Everyday Carry market. Always designed to be as minimalist and practical as possible, their products are aimed at complementing modern professionals.

Designed in Poole, True Brands wholesale their products to over 57 countries and hold 27 patents & 24 trademarks. Having previously worked with the innovative and quirky business as a marketing partner, when it came time for them to look at redesigning their website we were their first port-of-call. As their primary business focus is on wholesaling the website isn’t all about online sales; rather they wanted the website to better emphasize the brand and showcase their products without neglecting their loyal audience who shop with them direct.

Therefore, adhering to existing brand guidelines we reintroduced dark backgrounds & bold, concise titles. The new homepage sought to modernise the brand; aligning them better with other innovative and unique product websites within the EDC (Everyday Carry) market space. The new homepage also introduced a featured product feed, category quick links and multiple sets of typography that allowed us to shout about the companies USP’s. The new product pages have also incorporated interactive info-graphics showcasing the many great product features.

Following on from the new True Utility website, Digital Storm moved onto Nebo Tools UK site which is also operated by True Brands. Nebo Tools produce innovative lighting products and are one of the world’s best-selling lines of effective, consumer-friendly flashlights; holding 140+ trademarks and selling over 10 million units on average per year.

As Nebo also focuses it’s main attention towards it’s global partner network of retailers, the website needed to do a better job at enforcing the brand as an established and leading option whilst retaining a consumer-friendly B2C eCommerce front-end. We achieved this with a concise, brand-heavy homepage, improved product pages, and a new distributor area.

“This isn’t the first time we have worked with Digital Storm, and it certainly won’t be the last. Their knowledge and ability to get things done is second to none. No job too small, and nothing too big so it seems, they continue to impress with their great website builds and marketing know how.” Matt Clark, Marketing & Design at True Brands

We were extremely impressed that they took time to understand our requirements, visited the shop and provided constructive feedback and advice from start to finish.
